There is no way I can catch up, so I am going to back up about a month to Leah's 3rd (YES! THIRD!) Birthday and go from there!

I can not believe how time has flown. It seems like she was just born yesterday, yet I can't remember my life with out her. She is the smartest, sweetest, stubbornest little girl I know! She makes me laugh, she makes me cry, but most importantly, she makes my life complete.

We had a very busy day this past Sunday. We drove up to North Georgia to pick Pumpkins. While we were up there we decided we were so close to Amacalola Falls that we had to climb the Mountain. After we made it to the top, we decided the trip would not be complete with out a trip to the Apple Orchard.

At first she was not so sure about the Pumpkins, I think she was a little overwhelmed.

I was going to try and play catch up with the blog, but I realized, I do not have the time or energy for that! I decided to just go with a quick update and some new pictures.
Since the last blog, in July...Leah has started school and LOVES it!! She loves her teachers, especially Ms. Nadja. She has not one, but two boyfriends. She has learned baby sign language and loves to use it when asking for more, or to eat. It is so cute to watch her because she not only does the signs, but also says the words. She is saying all sorts of new words, including her name. Everything is "BLUE" to her...which is making her daddy very happy, especially since it is football season. She also loves to name all of her body parts with her chin being her new favorite!
We recently went to Memphis for Aunt Leola's 80th birthday! We got to stay at the Peabody which was amazing. Here are some pics from the trip.

Mackinac Island

Auntie Lisa turned 50 this month and Uncle Terry took us all up to Mackinac Island, Michigan for a few days.We had to fly straight from Pittsburg (through Chicago) to Michigan. The Island was amazing, with only about 400 people who are permanent residents, there are no motor vehicles allowed on the Island. In order to get around, you either have to ride a bike or a horse! We arrived on the Island at the end of their Lilac Festival, so our stay started with the Lilac parade, we had several yummy meals while we were there as well as a horse and buggy tour of the Island. (Again, there are way too many pictures to post, here are a few of the highlights, the rest will be coming on SnapFish soon!)

Pittsburg...(Part 1)

We went for another plane ride, this time to Pittsburg for Mommy's best friend's(since we moved to Georgia so about 23 years) wedding. We had so much fun at all of the events of the weekend. We even got to go to Leah's 1st Baseball Game, it was the Pirates vs. the TIGERS! Daddy was very happy since he is a Tigers fan. Thank Goodness they won, because the Red Wings lost the Stanley cup that night! ( To the Penguins, so of course the Pittsburg people were happy!) There are so many pictures that there is no way we could post them all...Mommy is going to send them on snapfish soon. Here are a few of our favorites.

Leah and Mommy went on her first trip to Monkey Joes...We went with lots of Mommy's friends that she works with now or who used to work with her! It was a lot of fun and we can not wait to go back!

So, I heard about this museum up in Gainesville Called INK( Interactive Neighborhood for Kids), I wanted to take Leah but did not want to drive all the way up there. When we were up at Jay and Amy's they were only about 15 minutes away so we decided to go. All of the adults were pretty disappointed, but Leah, Brody, and Jade had fun, so I guess it was a successful trip!!! Here are a few of the highlights, enjoy!

Well, softball actually, but that did not sound as good. We went up to Jay and Amy's to watch one of Jade's softball games. Leah had a ball watching her, but also got her first booboo! She was playing with Kidd and tried to run away from him. Unfortunately for her she had not been walking long enough to run and quickly went face first into the cement at the ball field. 1 month and 1 day after Leah turned one, my friend Jennifer's little girl Lauren turned 1.It was quite interesting because when we were on our way there we watched a power box get struck by lightining and arrived at the party to find out they had no power. It was still tons of fun! Leah and Lauren love playing together and even enjoy sharing a meal!

We put Leah's bouncer up months ago, so she enjoyed this rare opportunity to play in one! I think Lauren was a little jealous!

I have once again gotten way behind on my posting! Thank goodness I am on Spring Break and I can hopefully manage to catch up!

Leah turned 1 on February 26th. It is truly amazing how quickly they grow. She is a wonderful little girl with an amazing personality. We are enjoying every minute we spend watching her grow! Mommy took off of work for her birthday. Auntie Ashley was still on maternity leave so she and Aiden joined us as did Aunt Chi-Chi. We met Daddy for lunch and then that night went to the Diner for Dinner. Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt Chi-Chi, MeMe, "Grandfather" Warren, Auntie Allyce, and Uncle DD were there. Aunt June even drove all the way from NY to be there. Auntie Ashley, Uncle Will, and Aiden came too!!!

FINALLY!!! The long awaited arrival of Aunt Gladys!!! She lives in New York and Jordyn, her grandaughter who is 3 months older then Leah lives in Texas!!! Of course every opportunity she had she went to Texas to see Jordyn...Who can blame her, she is pretty cute!!!

Well, a few weekends ago, she came to see Leah! We were all so excited and had a great weekend together! Here are some pictures from the weekend!

The 1st day that she was here, we went to the Diner by Grandma and Grandpa's house that we eat at ALL the time and Jen, our waitress had one of the cooks make Leah these pancakes...I don't think she knows who they were, but she loved them anyway!

We went out to Dinner at Bugaboo Creek the 1st night that Aunt Gladys was here... Even though it took FOREVER, Leah was such a good girl!

Thanksgiving...Really Late!

So, been meaning to post these for a while, if only there were more hours in the day!
Leah had a great 1st Thanksgiving, starting the day with the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade...I think she particularly enjoyed Santa.

We went to MeMe's for Thanksgiving Dinner. MeMe, Grandpa Warren, Grandma, Grandpa, Auntie Allyce, Aunt ChiChi and GaGaPa where there. So was Janet, MeMe's college roomate, and Grandpa Warren's business partner and his family. It was tons and fun and Leah loved her turkey hair clip from Jen.

9 months already!!!

I can not believe that Leah is 9 months old already! She is growing so fast and learning new things everyday. The past month has been very eventful for her, learning how to roll from her stomach to her sitting on her butt, crawling so fast we can barely keep up with her, pulling up on everything, torturing poor DJ, and cutting her first tooth..FINALLY!!! She had her 9 month check up on Tuesday, she is 17 lbs 13 oz. (40th percentile) and 27 1/4 inches long (50th percentile). She is eating all sorts of new foods, with turkey seeming to be her newest favorite (I guess she is going to love Thanksgiving.

Sunday, Leah got to go to her first NFL game. Uncle Cordell, Daddy's best friend and his family were in town to cheer on his brother-in-law, Deuce McAllister, the running back for the New Orleans Saints. We got to go to the game to help cheer them on! Even though the Saints lost, we all had lots of fun! Leah was so excited that she could scream as loud as she wanted and nobody tried to make her stop! And hey, we are in Atlanta and the Falcons did play a good game!!!

I have been avoiding this post, there are so many pictures I don't even know which ones to choose. That is a problem for me quite often, so I decided that if you are reading my blog, you know me well enough to know I take way too many pictures and therefore my blog will inevitably reflect that!!!

Leah had a great 1st Halloween. A few days early I had this brilliant idea to get her a pumpkin and let her play in the guts...She was not having any of it!!!

Auntie Allyce and I took her to the pumpkin patch so we could pick the perfect pumpkin...

Halloween was a very busy day, Auntie Ashley spent the evening with us! Daddy went to vote and had to wait 4 hours!!! We went to visit him in line, then we went to visit MeMe, Uncle Dee Dee, and Grandma and Grandpa!!!

We celebrated Grandpa's 59th birthday on Wednesday the 29th. It was lots of fun!

Leah's First Michigan Michigan State Game

Last Saturday was the Michigan Michigan State Football game. Of course Leah was all decked out in her blue and maize. We went to Auntie Ashley and Uncle Will's house even though they were in green!!! Unfortunately, Michigan lost for the first time since 1999 and for the first time at home since 1990...It was still a lot of fun!!!

Of course Mommy had to sabotage the cake (it was actually blue and yellow on the bottom, Auntie Ashley thinks she is funny)

Even though Uncle Will was wearing his Beat Michigan shirt...he had to admit, Leah was pretty cute in her Michigan cheerleading uniform!

The cake was yummy and Leah made sure to eat the blue and yellow part so it would match her Michigan PJ's!

Uncle Will's cousin said it best, "this is what a State Fan does when they finally beat Michigan, find the cutest wolverine they can, hang her upside down and torture her!!!"

The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer three day was this weekend. Grandma's friend Donna was walking and we took Leah to cheer her on! There was no way to get in touch with Donna, so we had to wait at one of the cheering stations for about an hour before we finally saw her. It was worth every minute of it. It truly was an amazing thing to behold. You could feel the love and support that flowed not only from the walkers, but also the supporters. It truly is unbelievable what can be accomplished with a lot of determination and dedication. And whether becoming a walker or a supporter, it is really something everyone should experience.

P.S.
Donna's team earned $350,000 and the Atlanta Breast Cancer 3-day earned 8.3 million dollars!!! WOW!!!

I recieved these fresh fruit feeders for a shower gift and never quite got around to using them, until now...Basically it is a mesh bag that you put fruit in and then the baby can suck on the fruit and get all of the nutrients and flavor with no worries of seeds or skin or anything.

Leah tried a plum and the mesh bag for the first time today!...I think she enjoyed the bag and the plum!

Yesterday, Pam and I threw a shower for Ashley. Even though Leah was not there, I decided this gets to make it onto her blog!!! When I was pregnant with Leah, I think Ashley was just as excited as I was. She took care of me and made sure I had lots of rice krispie treats and cotton candy. I could not have asked for a better more supportive friend, she even made sure I had Arby's the minute I delivered, Damn Nitrates!!! Once Leah arrived she very quickly became one of her favorite people in the entire world! She is expecting her first child, the beginning of December and we can not wait for Aiden Michael to join us. We love you and are so very happy for you!!!

Since I mentioned them in my first post, I thought I would introduce you all to Lyla and Pressley. These are Joelle's Girls. Leah loves them tons and is going to miss them so much when they move to Greenville!

So, I have been meaning to do this for quite some time...I have been to busy and quite frankly to lazy, to do it but I figured now was as good a time as any! I have been following my friend Joelle's blog and she has been promising to show me how to do it. Well, she is moving in a few weeks (which I will get into in a minute) so I figured I better get on it! I figured this would be an easy way for people to keep up with Leah and how fast she is growing!

She is truly amazing! She is a little over seven months old. I am amazed everyday by all of the things she has learned in such a short amount of time! She has mastered rolling ALL over the place. She crawls backwards, can drink from a sippy cup, and even though it is quite messy, she can feed herself with a spoon. She has full conversations with whoever will listen. She says "MaMa" "NaNa" "LaLa" and "DaDa". Right now my favorite thing that she can do is give 5, if you put your hand up in front of her and ask her to give you five, she gets so excited and proud of herself that she has mastered such a skill!!! It is honestly unbelieveable!

Now, about my friend Joelle...I met her through Ashley and she has truly been a blessing. She has twin girls who are 3 days younger then Leah. I was talking to her about how much I was dreading going back to work and leaving Leah, and she offered to watch her 3 days a week. Joanna did the other two and we were all set. I still hated to leave Leah, but I could not have asked for a better situation. Leah loves her and her girls and they love her too! Well, Joelle and her husband, David are here in GA with 2 new babies and no family...I could not imagine and so do not blame them one bit for wanting to go back to Greenville and be with family. Long story short, David got a new job and they move back the end of the month!!! I am truly happy for them, but if anyone knows a good baby sitter, Leah needs a new one!!!
